Create a NuEnglish reader-friendly home to inspire reading in your child to become an enthusiastic and proficient reader from a young age on. Here is what you can do.

  1. Read aloud to your child or have your child read to you.
  2. Play with magnetic letters on your refrigerator to form words.
  3. Read the NuEnglish workbook with your child.
  4. Play with books at home, e.g. play library or bookstore.
  5. Take time off from TV, video games and the computer to allow for reading time.
  6. Enter new stories and information into the Respeller.
  7. Have a specific time to read each day, not only at bedtime.
  8. Sit together and enjoy reading each your own books, just sharing quiet time.
  9. Have child put together a collage, scrapbook or such for reading fun.
